LILAC ANGEL

LILAC ANGEL — named after the driving and minimalist track by 1970s German innovators NEU! — is a three-piece group making a cerebral blend of post-punk and noise rock in the American Southwest. In all facets LILAC ANGEL remain steadfastly independent and D.I.Y., from artwork and promotion to recording, engineering, and mixing.

Yeah! Not enough music like this [...] Frantic, energetic, and unapologetic without sounding like a mess. I’d love to see them live. Shall we all go?

LILAC ANGEL's latest EP explores the spectrum of their sound with four new songs. The first half explores their penchant for compelling post-punk with the dark drive of "Falling Star" and frenetic churn of "Matte Black Batman, their most popular track to date. The noisy back half pairs lead-single "Each New Day" — a wash of feedback and climate angst which showcases LILAC ANGEL's unconventional guitar style — with the roiling rocker "Hovercraft".
